Dear Way To Go Traveler,
This day-trip replaces the Blueberry Extravaganza day-trip from the past 6 years. It was sold out the past 6 years! Part of the following we did last year. Our new group guide is Jim Berry from Jamestown, NY. Our restaurant is the South Dayton Hotel which we used last September and it was a big hit! You will receive the usual “goodies” at our Amish stops a loaf of Amish bread, a small bag of cheese, a bar of Amish soap, and more. etc.
Read on for a wonderful day on the Southern tier!
7:30am—Bus report time
7:45am—Leave from McDonalds on Meadow Dr., North Tonawanda, NY
8:15am—Pickup at Tops, Main St., by Union Rd., Williamsville
9:45am—Valley View Cheese Factory. Choice of 30 plus cheeses—plus a
whole to of other Amish items—jams, jellies, other Amish clothed items & wooden carvings. ETC.! While the the shopping is happening—the driver
and I will pick up some Goat Milk Fudge for you (free candy gift) at Malinda’s Candy Shop.
Next: Miller’s Bake House—each person will receive a loaf of Amish bread and a “moon” pie—a blueberry treat! Purchase other pies, cookies and
breads if you wish!

Noon—(12:30pm)—Lunch at South Dayton Hotel in Dayton NY
1:30pm—Travel into the heart of Amish county, though the scenic rolling Hills of the valley. Stop includes a roadside cemetery, where our guide
Will discuss Amish burial traditions.
Mid-afternoon—Raber’s Blacksmith Shop. Ferrier Daniel Raber will discuss, and possibly demonstrate how a horse is shod and answer questions about the Amish and their horses.
4pm or so—Leave for Buffalo
5:30pm—Tops. Main Street & Union Rd., Williamsburg
6pm—McDonalds, Meadow Dr., North Tonawanda.
