Dear Way To Go Tours,
I promised myself to return to the Flight 93 Memorial when Stage 4, the last stage of the memorial construction was completed. When I was first at the sight, there was a single billboard, the size of a single section of a school blackboard, for posting remembrances of the victims. Today, there is a new 6 mile road back into the area from the nearest major highway and Stage 4 was dedicated last September. It is time to return! “A common field one day….a field of honor forever!” We pay our respects!

6:30am: Bus Report time
6:45am: Depart from McDonalds, 315 Meadow Dr., N. Tonawanda.
7:10am: Pickup at Tops Market, 5274 Main St., Williamsville.
Noon: Cracker Barrel New Stanton, PA.
1:30pm: Bells Mill Covered Bridge: Nearly 14,000 authentic wooden covered bridges once existed in our nation. Today less than 900 remain. Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana and
Vermont have a combined total of over 550. PA leads the way with over 198. Bells Mills was built in 1850 and still used today!
3pm: Arrive at Fallingwater. Our tour will begin at 3:30pm, with a group of 14 leaving the visitor center area every 6 minutes. Fallingwater was named one of “50 places of a lifetime”
and was also named in the year 2000 ”the best architectural building of the 20th century.” It was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright for the Kaufmann family, wealthy department store
owners from Pittsburgh as a summer retreat. Note: PURSES/HANDBAGS, BACKPACKS, CAMERA BAGS, TRIPODS, AND OTHER CUMBERSOME ITEMS
ARE NOT PERMITTED ON THE TOUR.
5:00pm: Leave for Somerset, PA.
6:00pm: Dinner at Pine Grill Inn, Somerset, PA.
8:00pm: Check into The Hampton Inn, Somerset.

8:15am: Breakfast & Checkout.
9:00am: Arrive Flight 93 Memorial. The Flight 93 Memorial honors the 40 passengers & crew of United Airlines Flight 93. The sites include the Memorial Plaza Wall, Memorial Wall
of Names, Ceremonial Gateway, the Flight Path Walkway, the Visitor Center, This is the 15th year of the anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001 attack. There are no guided tours of the
Memorial. You are on your own!
Late Morning: Flight 93 Memorial Chapel in Shanksville, PA.
Noon: Boxed lunch (so we can keep moving!)
Afternoon: Two hours after we leave the Shanksville, PA we will be arriving at the McConnell?s Mill Covered Bridge located in the McConnell?s Mill State Park. There we will
see a 96 foot covered bridge built in the Howe truss design, one of only five in PA. This is located in a beautiful state park and I am hoping for some beautiful fall leaves on a sunny
day!
Dinner: On your own in route probably Erie, PA.
10:00pm: Tops, Williamsville.
10:30pm: McDonalds, North Tonawanda.
