ITINERARY

Day 1: Monday, Nov. 28, 2016
6:30am – -Bus Report time.
6:45am – – Depart McDonalds, 315 Meadow Dr.,, North Tonawanda.
7:15am – – Depart Tops 5274 Main St. (at Union), Williamsville.
Rest and a lunch (on own) stops will be made periodically. This evening we gather for dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 2: Tuesday, Nov. 29 2016
Following breakfast we visit Churchill Downs, the historic track where the Kentucky Derby is run. Enjoy time at the Kentucky Derby Museum which showcases the Kentucky Derby and the Thoroughbred industry. The museum features various racing artifacts and interactive exhibits along with a 360-degree high-definition film of “The Greatest Race.” Following a lunch break we journey south to Nashville. Later today arrive at the beautiful Gaylord Opryland Resort for a memorable two-night stay. The Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center offers guests all the excitement and energy of the Christmas season in Music City under one spectacular roof. Nestled in a bend of the Cumberland River, this exquisite resort features an extraordinary selection of dining, shopping and recreational activities underneath signature glass atriums including nine acres of lush indoor gardens and cascading waterfalls. Later today we gather for dinner at a local restaurant and then attend the Grand Ole Opry at the historic Ryman Auditorium. Beginning in 1925 the Grand Ole Opry is the country’s longest-running continuous radio program and features many well-known country music stars.

Day 3: Wednesday, Nov 30, 2016
Enjoy breakfast and a leisurely morning at the resort. Our group package includes admission to ICE, a spectacular ice sculpture display, and Treasures for the Holidays, a wonderful craft, antique and art show. Later today we board the General Jackson Showboat and embark on a delightful luncheon cruise along the scenic Cumberland River. Enjoy a delicious lunch and wonderful entertainment aboard this lovely four-deck paddlewheel riverboat. Following a lunch break return to the resort and enjoy the balance of the day at leisure. Included in our stay at the resort is a ticket to the Delta River Flatboat Ride. During the holiday season the resort is dressed with nearly two million dazzling Christmas lights and a beautiful Outdoor Nativity Display. This evening we are treated to a special Live Holiday Production at the resort.

Day 4: Thursday, Dec. 1
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and then explore Nashville on a delightful guided city tour. As Tennessee’s capital city, Nashville is the hub of state government but also a cultural metropolis and country music epicenter of the world. Often referred to as the “Athens of the South,” Nashville takes its affiliation with Greece seriously. Highlights on our tour will include the Parthenon, Vanderbilt University, State Capitol building and Centennial Park. Following a lunch break we leave Nashville and travel to Covington, Kentucky for the final
night. This evening we gather for a farewell dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 5: Friday, Dec. 2, 2016
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel.
8am – – Depart hotel
Later this morning we leave northern Kentucky. Rest and meal stops (on own) will be made periodically.
