Dear Way To Go Traveler,
English settlers, sand dunes, wildlife, white sandy beaches, hurricanes, pirates, shipwrecks, first flight & the Wright Brothers, red skies, crashing surf, noisy gulls,
seafood restaurants are just some of the things that come to mind when we think of North Carolina’s Outer Banks. The Outer Banks are barrier islands and are further from the mainland coast than any other barrier islands. Features are wide beaches, sea oats, undulating dunes, and beautiful sun rises and sunsets. A world unto itself! Rated No. 5 most popular destination in the United States by USA Today for 2015. It has been so popular we are offering it for the 3rd year in a row. We made some changes for the better, it is time to go back again, or visit for the first time.
