Dear Way To Go Traveler,
Several people have mentioned to me – it is time to get back over to the Park Avenue Pub in Rochester for a most delicious luncheon. I agree! Look over the whole itinerary – it looks like quite a day!

6:30am – Bus Report time
6:45am – Depart from McDonalds, Meadow Dr., N. Tonawanda
7:10am – Pickup at Tops Supermarket, Main St., & Union Rd. in Williamsville
8:30am – Rochester Public Market – at this location since 1905, voted recently – ”America’s favorite Farmer’s Market in an annual Farmer’s Market Contest.”

9:45am – Leave for THE STRONG
10:00am – Strong National Museum of Play – ”USA Today called “The Strong” one of the 10 best museums in the United States.” Our visit will include a ride on the 1918 Allen Herschel carousel. We will have two docents to show us some of the highlights of The Strong!
Noon – Lunch at the Park Avenue Pub. It is rated No. 48 out of 1011 restaurants in Rochester. THEY OPEN ESPECIALLY FOR US!
2:15pm – Susan B. Anthony House – we are coming up on the 100th anniversary (in 2020) when women first got the right to vote in a national election! Susan’s home was the site “of her famous arrest for voting in the national election of 1872.” We honor this trail blazer and there are going to be other important attractions honoring Western New York women in the next few years including the new “Center of Great Women” opening in 2018. Bulletin: Just found this out – 2017 is the 100th anniversary of women getting the right to vote in New York State elections!!!
4:30pm – Casa Largo Winery – Wine tasting. (With crackers and cheese). The vineyards at Casa Larga occupy 45 acres of land, located atop one of the highest points in the Finger Lakes region. Rich Ontario sandy loam soil brought here by glaciers at the end of the ICE AGE, make these vineyards one of the best places to grow grapes in the Fingers Lakes.
5:30pm – Depart for Tops
6:30pm – Tops, Main Street by Union Rd., Williamsville
7:00pm – McDonalds, Meadow Dr., N. Tonawanda
